Our commitment

Nortfrost Express Inc. is committed to providing goods, services and information in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. We aim to meet our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Accessible Canada Act.

Conformance standard

This website has been built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. The AODA currently requires WCAG 2.0 Level AA; we have targeted 2.1 so the site remains conformant as Ontario transitions toward WCAG 2.2.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML structure with a single, descriptive heading hierarchy per page
  • A “skip to main content” link as the first focusable element
  • Full keyboard operability, with a clearly visible focus indicator
  • Text and interface contrast meeting or exceeding a 4.5:1 ratio
  • Form fields with persistent, programmatically associated labels
  • Touch targets sized for users with limited dexterity
  • No information conveyed by colour alone
  • Respect for the operating system’s reduced-motion preference
  • Text that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide

Known limitations

We test with keyboard navigation and automated tooling, but no website is perfectly accessible to every user in every configuration. TODO — list any known limitations here, for example third-party embedded content that the client does not control.
